The challenge
Character voice experiments were spread across engines, sample files, tuning controls, and private review steps. The public experience needed a coherent way to explore verified voices without exposing administrative tools or credentials.
The approach
Separate the public character catalog from protected administration, preserve reusable samples, and organize generation, direction, and evaluation around explicit character records.
What SideQuest Studio handled
Character voice systems · AI prototyping · Experimental interface design · Protected workflow design · VPS deployment
Important decisions
- Keep provider credentials and privileged generation controls on the server.
- Allow public visitors to preview approved cached samples while private candidates remain protected.
- Treat future voice-conversion hooks as future work rather than presenting them as active capability.
Current outcome
EchoForge Labs is a public beta with a working voice catalog and character previews, backed by separate protected review and publishing workflows.
